My name is Susan Grant, and I’m the Paint Color Specialist,  3D Render Artist & Decorator behind Color Envy Design.

Busy parents and professionals hire me to implement an approachable strategy for their interior paint color selection and decorating projects.  Utilizing color science and cutting edge technology, I collaborate with clients to create  amazing home transformations that are convenient and cost effective.

I’m not your mother’s decorator!

My husband Rich and I spent years rebuilding our South Shore home one room at a time while raising our 2 boys and a few rescue dogs along the way.  (check out the pics below!)

I mean literally rebuilding. With our own four hands. Just the 2 of us. (and our kids and an occasional friend or family member!)  From demolition to design and decor, we did everything ourselves. Over the course of 17 years, my CPA husband and I slowly and methodically executed  ALL the demolition in every room of our home. 

We did ALL the plumbing, soldering,  electrical, sheetrock, lighting, floor, wall, tile and  backsplash laying, grouting, cabinetry hanging, molding, mitering, spackling, sanding, taping, painting, (so much painting!), staining, appliance installation, full front yard landscaping and bricklaying ourselves. We even added a deck extension and built a stone sit-around outdoor fire pit ourselves.  (also pictured below!)

We eventually sold that gorgeous home and moved back to  the North Shore.  I realized I didn't have the time I once had to devote to paint and decor selection for this new 3 story home.   Even I, the demolition and decorating diva, was feeling slightly overwhelmed.  

I was determined to figure out a way to do everything quicker and with more confidence. I didn't want to hire a full service designer, and I didn't trust anyone else's "good eye for color".  (I'm an artist myself!) I couldn't find just the right level of services I needed.  I would create it if I had to. And I did.

I honed my skill set to add  cutting edge technology  to paint color selection and design.  Now my service offerings are unique, convenient  and approachable.  What sets me apart?

And that’s how Color Envy Design was born. I wanted to provide other busy parents and professionals just the right level of quick, convenient and accurate paint selection and decorating services I needed when I was too  busy to do it all on my own. Somewhere between DIY and hiring a full service designer. That would be my niche.  

This lets clients have control over the investment levels and timeline of their own project.
